Open metrics.

We publish our numbers monthly. Not the numbers that make us look good — all of them, including the ones that go down. An EdTech product that hides its efficacy data has no right to ask for your time or money.

These six metrics are our current core measurement set. Each has a precise definition and a named data source. We do not round up. We do not select favorable time windows. The "last updated" date is below each card. If a metric has not been updated in over 35 days, assume something is wrong and write to metrics@plan2skill.com.

We are in alpha with ~50 learners. Some of these values will be dashes ("—") until we have a statistically meaningful sample. We would rather show you a dash than an invented number.

Active learners (30d)
Definition: Unique learner accounts that completed at least one quest in the last 30 calendar days. "Completed" means the quest reached the results screen — partial sessions are excluded.

Quests completed
Cumulative total / last-30d
Definition: Cumulative count of quests completed since launch (top figure) and in the last 30 calendar days (bottom figure). A quest is "completed" when the learner reaches the results screen. Quest abandonment rate is tracked separately and published in the changelog when it changes by more than 5 percentage points.

Edges per learner (median)
Definition: Median number of concept-to-concept edges in the cognitive graph across all learners with at least 5 completed quests. New learners are excluded to avoid depressing the median with empty graphs. "Edge" means a weighted connection between two concepts, formed when a learner answers a question that tests the relationship between those concepts.

Median session length
Definition: Median duration in minutes from quest-start event to quest-results event, across all completed quests in the last 30 days. Outliers above 60 minutes are excluded (likely abandoned tabs). This metric is descriptive, not a target — we do not optimise session length up or down.

D7 retention
Cohort curve
Definition: Percentage of learners who completed at least one quest on Day 7 after their first quest. Measured per weekly cohort (learners whose first quest fell within a given 7-day window). "D7" means calendar day 7, not "within 7 days." This metric requires at least 20 learners per cohort for publication — smaller cohorts are suppressed.

VI
Quest-generation success rate
Definition: Percentage of quest-generation requests that produced a quest delivered to the learner, out of all requests initiated. Failures include LLM timeouts, content-validation failures, and fallback-to-cached quest events. A "fallback" counts as a partial success — noted separately in the changelog.

VIIPast snapshots

Monthly snapshots will be published as static pages at /metrics/YYYY-MM once we have data worth preserving. The first snapshot will be published on 2026-05-15, covering April 2026.
